A SHAMROCK AT MY SIDE

CONCEPT ART / PRODUCTION DESIGN

FLYING SHAMROCK.jpg

CG models of Brendan’s two Spitfires that will appear in the film.

Illustrated are the models that will be used for medium shots. Lower poly models will be also be used for wide shots.

 COLOUR GRADING

Kodachrome is a colour process introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1935, which was widely used for both cinematography and still photography throughout the 1940’s. To help us evoke a real feeling of the time, we are currently experimenting on a grading scheme inspired by this vintage look.

In the gallery below are examples of colour photography from the 1940’s.

 CONCEPT ART

Below are examples of concept art using a colour palette inspired by Kodachrome.

MATTE PAINTINGS

We will rely heavily on the use of Matte paintings to help us recreate the destruction of the Southampton Blitz.
