THE SCORE
THE BOOK OF MAX is an intimate portrayal of interspecies relationship, but running parallel to the story of Ying Ying and Max will be the more expansive, sweeping tale of our historical journey together from the very first encounter between wolves and men. The score to our film will therefore be one that is at times tender and intimate while at other times more epic in its scope.
The soundtrack of the film is something we will take an experimental approach to, as we seek to utilize the power of music and sound design to enhance and help tell our story.
THE SOUNDS OF AN ANCIENT WORLD
One idea is to look into the viability of using Stone Age instruments for the Paleolithic and historical sequences.
